นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติแห่มาเล่นน้ำบนถนนข้าวสารอย่างสนุกสนาน แม้ว่าสมาคมผู้ประกอบการค้าถนนข้าวสารจะงดจัดงานสงกรานต์ในปีนี้ หลังเกิดเหตุทหารปะทะกับม็อบคนเสื้อแดง ทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บจำนวนมาก

แม้ว่า จะมีเหตุการณ์น่าสลดใจ เมื่อคนไทย หันหน้าฆ่ากันเอง ด้วยเหตุผลทางการเมือง , เมื่อวันที่ 10 เมษายน ที่ผ่านมา จนมีคนตายนับสิบเจ็บอีกหลายร้อย แต่คนไทยยังคงรักสงบ และรักวัฒนธรรมไทย เพราะเมื่อเหตุการณ์สงบลงผู้คนก็เริ่มออกมาเล่นสงกรานต์กันอย่างสนุกสนาน แม้แต่ในม็อบเสื้อแดงเองก็ยังเล่นสงกรานต์จนชุ่มฉ่ำ
เป็นสิ่งที่แสดงถึงความแข็งแกร่งในจิตใจ และความอ่อนโยนที่ยังมีต่อคนไทยด้วยกัน และชาวต่างชาติ
ทำให้ไทยยังมีความหวังที่จะนำสันติสุขกลับมาสู่ประเทศในไม่ช้า
